Stay

The Lincoln Marfa

A small central stay with apartment-style rooms, kitchen space, and a quiet courtyard close to downtown Marfa.

Reserved art and a high-desert night

Use a reserved art visit, downtown Marfa, and one clear high-desert night as the first full-day anchor, then give each added day a distinct area or purpose.

Pace

Chinati first, Judd and downtown second

Keep the first full day close to Marfa and save Fort Davis, Alpine, or Big Bend for an added day beyond the three-night stay.

Arrival

Check in, eat early, and watch the desert darken.

Circle the courthouse, notice the evening light on stucco and brick, then choose an early dinner before the Marfa Lights viewing area when the sky and driver are ready.

Day 2

Give Chinati Foundation the strongest daylight.

Large-scale installations, converted military buildings, outdoor ground, and movement between sites can fill the day. Follow current tickets and tour instructions instead of compressing Chinati around another major reservation.

Afternoon

Let late afternoon belong to downtown.

Browse what is open, rest at the hotel, or walk the courthouse blocks before dinner and sunset.

Day 3

Give Judd Foundation and downtown Marfa their own day.

Reserve the Block or Studios, then spend the remaining daylight with the courthouse, Blackwell School, the local museum, and whichever galleries are genuinely open.

4:30 PM

Afternoon

Walk the civic and cultural core.

Circle the Presidio County Courthouse, add Blackwell School or the Marfa and Presidio County Museum when current access fits, and leave room for an open gallery or bookshop.

Departure

Courthouse light and one last quiet block.

Choose coffee, breakfast, a short downtown walk, or a final open gallery before the long road home.
